Photography is an important part in most people’s lives, as a way to capture those special moments forever. Don’t wait until it’s too late, book a session for your family, your children, your parents and grandparents, or your family pet. Mel can suggest ideas for your shoot to ensure a unique photo session.
Session fees
Weekdays before 16:00 - 750 kr.
Evenings or weekends - 1000 kr.
Special: Photo sessions taken in the studio will recieve 250 kr discount!

Day of Photography

Remember the favourite toys and comforts for the little ones
Sessions are relaxed, fun and carefree. A photo session is not about capturing one shot where everyone is looking at the camera, but about capturing a series of images that reflect your child or family’s personality. I will take a mix of naturally posed photographs, plus more candid shots.
What to wear
You can bring a selection of clothing that best reflects your children or family’s personalities. They can dress colourful and fun, or more traditional. I would try to avoid clothing with large logos, writing or cartoon character prints. I am happy for you to change clothing during the session, to acheive a few different looks. Bring along any ’cool’ hats, scarves, shoes, jewellery and other accessories.
For group photos, I would recommend trying to co-ordinate clothes.
For babies, I recommend softer colours or nude. Don’t forget to bring favourite blankets and hats.
You may also bring along some things that are special to your child or family. For example, sporting equipment, football, skateboard etc. Or dress up costumes, superman or princess outfit. Maybe favourite toys, a tea set for a tea party! Or a favourite child’s chair!!! Maybe some bubbles or balloons........
Location
My home studio is located at Seimsdal. See map here. It is open by appointmet only. Parking is available at the top of the driveway or in front of the garage opposite to the driveway.
You can have the photo shoot anywhere - your home, garden, a park, in the forest, a farm, at an old building etc. The possibilities are endless! One of my favourite locations in Årdal is the old mill at Indre Offerdal.
Viewings
The photographs will be ready for viewing approximately 2 weeks after your session. Mel will contact you to make a viewing appointment time in the studio. The online gallery of your photographs will also be available after 2 weeks.
Orders
Your prints are printed at a professional lab, so please allow 3- 4 weeks for your order to be back. Please note that some items, for example, Collages and photobooks may take longer due to the design work involved.
